Family and Community Services for Adults

Seniors Network 65+
Local senior residents meet, network and learn new things together. Activities include cooking, art, writing, computer literacy and volunteerism. Current volunteers come in each Wednesday morning and prepare coffee and breakfast – they hold a raffle to help cover the cost of supplies.

Housing and Eviction Prevention Counseling
The Eviction Prevention/Tenant’s Rights program provides direct assistance and advocacy services to households facing eviction and landlord/tenant issues that threatened the affordability and living conditions of their home. Intervention on behalf of families prevents homelessness and displacement of vulnerable tenants while preserving decent affordable housing stock on the Upper West Side. Easy access to accurate information and resources insure that tenants are protected from losing their homes and escalating rents.
